Repairing Kitchen Sink Waste |
The waste on this kitchen sink had split. Fortunately this wasn't the disaster it appeared; it was the standard size and there was enough flex in the waste pipes to simply unbolt it and fit a new stainless one.
Useful To Know
-
Most kitchen sink wastes are a standard size: the flange is 113mm diameter and the hole in the sink is 90mm across.
-
Stainless steel strainer wastes are readily available. Replacement colour matched ones will most probably take some tracking down, and even then risk looking out of place as the sink may have discoloured to some extent in the interim.
